His Story
From an early stage in his career, Ajay Thakur recognized the struggles that SMEs and startups faced in accessing capital. The traditional financial system often favored larger, established companies, leaving smaller businesses to fend for themselves.
With an innovative mindset and a vision to bring change, Ajay took on the challenge. His work at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) led to the creation of India’s first SME and startup platforms, enabling over 1,000 SMEs to raise nearly ₹18,000 crore. This effort revolutionized the way SMEs accessed equity financing, forever transforming India’s economic landscape
